What is your first ever food memory?

Eating plantain and slow cooked honey beans, while sitting on a mat. My mum used this to train me to feed myself. Now I’m a plantain addict.

What ingredient would you bring with you to a desert island?

Tubs of african cocoa and Ugandan vanilla.

What would you make with matcha?

Pancakes! Banana matcha pancakes and a few Ugandan vanilla seeds with whipped cream.

Your last ever bite?

Typical Nigerian slow cooked honey beans with crayfish and plantain. This dish takes me to another dimension. It’s heartwarming and moreish. Perhaps because this really is my first memory of great food.

Who would you be your ideal dinner party guest?

Sade Adu, because I adore her and because everyone says I look like her. It’s destiny!
