Meet the producer | Gabriella Block, Nut Blend

This week we met Gabriella, the genius behind Nut Blend. Struggling to find unprocessed, ready-made foods with zero added sugar, Gabriella took to her kitchen armed with a blender, and has created totally natural and ridiculously delicious nut butters!


How did the idea of Nut Blend come about?

“I first became interested in food whilst working at Women’s Health. I invested in a small food processor and began to make nut butter at home, experimenting with different nuts and spices. After making one memorable recipe – also known as Perfect Nut Butter – I realised the flavour was too good to keep to myself, especially as there is no added sugar, sweeteners, syrup, additives or preservatives.”

“I’ve had a part-time job up until recently. On days off – after breakfast, which is the highlight of my morning – a typical day consists of e-mails, phone calls, scheduling meetings, packing and sending orders; and eating lots of nut butter to keep me energised! My team consists of just me at the moment but I try to find the balance between working and relaxing so that I don’t go (more) nuts.”

What makes Nut Blend so unique?

“Imagine being able to satisfy your sweet tooth in the healthiest way – that’s without any added sugar (refined, unrefined or from dried fruit), sweeteners, syrup, salt or oil. Nut Blend does that and more. It’s an experience; a moment of pure enjoyment that is 100% natural and tastes delicious – and once you start… (*eat lathered on toast, with porridge, yoghurt, fruit and smoothies; or simply eat with a spoon!)”


What is your proudest moment to date?

“So far, I am the most proud of being featured in The Sunday Times Magazine!”

You’re stranded on a desert island and you can only have 3 Tabl products…

“It has to be 55 Above Rhubarb Gin, Grain and Bowl Maple’n’Pecan Granola and Nourish Cacao Coconut Macaroons!”
